Persona in palette
Naomi Ciarallo

Our story

A love of colour, from the very beginning

Long before Naomi Ciarallo helped her clients find their best colour match, she was studying geography and geology — and it's where her relationship with colour actually began.

It took a degree, a mentorship, and a whole lot of falling in love with the craft online to turn that early spark into Persona in Palette.

The journey

How it happened

University

A first, unexpected encounter with colour

Studying geography and geology, Naomi first came across the Munsell colour system — the same structured way of categorizing colour that scientists use to describe soil, rock, and mineral samples. It planted a seed she wouldn't return to for years.

BCIT

A Bachelor of Science in Ecological Restoration

Naomi earned her degree at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, building a foundation in careful observation, classification, and systems thinking — skills that would later shape how she approaches colour analysis.

Online

The spark

Naomi spent months watching videos online of professional colour analysts at work in Korea. Seeing the craft up close through their content — precise, structured, and genuinely transformative for clients — is what convinced her to pursue it herself.

Mentorship

Trained by the Colour Analysis Queen

Naomi trained under Tatum Gangi (@the_coloranalysisqueen), sharpening her eye and building the technical foundation behind every session she runs today.

Today

Persona in Palette

Munsell system training met a growing love of fashion and a passion for makeup artistry — and Persona in Palette was born, based in Port Moody, BC.

“Helping people build confidence, feel validated, and see a version of themselves they've never seen before — that's why I do what I do.”

Beyond the studio

Who I am when I'm not draping fabric

I keep an active lifestyle filled with hiking, weightlifting, and cooking healthy meals. I also love reading scientific literature on the body, mind, and nutrition — it feeds the same curiosity that got me into colour analysis in the first place.

What's next

Body analysis, coming soon

Soon I'll be adding body analysis to my services, so clients can wear clothes that make them feel just as confident and comfortable as they look. I'm currently studying body analysis at the International Image Institute of Toronto, and will also be studying etiquette protocol. For body analysis, I'll use face shape assessors and identify your somatotype — one of 7 types: hourglass, pear, rectangle, savonius, triangle, upside-down triangle, or standard. I'll update all clients once this service officially launches.
